HEART NOTES: Jasmine / BASE NOTES: Patchouli / HEAD NOTES: Basil / OLFACTORY FAMILY: Aromatic / HEIGHT: 10 cm / BURNING TIME: 60 Hours / COLLECTION: Sacred Trees / The glass decoration on the Cocody scented candle, featuring a design of yellow baobabs on a grey background, was created in Italy using a glass sublimation method. The design is printed with natural pigments and then delicately placed around the glass, which fuses to the material. The richness of the design then comes to life with the flame, subtly revealed via its transparency. Cocody is a municipality located more than a hundred kilometers from Abidjan in Ivory Coast. It is in this forest region that the last baobab planting took place in the summer of 2024. The fragrance of the Cocody candle is an aromatic scent, with fresh notes of basil that reveal a very green jasmine, harvested in midsummer on the hills of Grasse. Sublimation involves printing the design with natural pigments on a biodegradable film. This is then applied around the glass and heated so that it adheres to the material. The flame can be seen through the design, which lights up like a lamp, bringing the candle to life.
